How to Update a Passbook?

You can update your passbook in two ways:

Through a banker
Through a Passbook Updation Machine

How to update passbook through a banker:

Visit the bank branch
Tell the reception you want to update your passbook
Go to the counter and give the banker your passbook
The banker will enter your account details and place the passbook in a Passbook Entry Machine
The machine will print all the updates in your passbook

How to update passbook from a Passbook Updation Machine:

Visit your bank branch or e-lobby
Find a Passbook Updation Machine (PUM),
It is called a Swayam Kiosk for SBI.
Your passbook should have a barcode printed.
Insert the passbook into the machine with the last updated page open
The machine will read the barcode and print on the passbook automatically.

Quick tip

Depending on the bank and the PUM, we may have to open the first page of the passbook to insert into the machine. The machine will automatically find the last page and print the update.
